Bydd y pedwar pwrpas wrth wraidd ein cwricwlwm newydd. Nhw fydd man cychwyn pob penderfyniad ar y cynnwys a’r profiadau a ddatblygir fel rhan o’r cwricwlwm i gefnogi ein plant a’n pobl ifanc i fod:

yn ddysgwyr uchelgeisiol, galluog sy’n barod i ddysgu drwy gydol eu hoes;

yn gyfranwyr mentrus, creadigol sy’n barod i chwarae eu rhan yn llawn yn eu bywyda’u gwaith;

The four purposes will be at the heart of our new curriculum. They will be the starting point for all decisions on the content and experiences developed as part of the curriculum to support our children and young people to be:

ambitious, capable learners ready to learn throughout their lives;

enterprising, creative contributors, ready to play a full part in life and work;

ethical, informed citizens of Wales and the world;

healthy, confident individuals, ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society.

4 diben Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Teyrnon  4 purposes

Mae’n bwysig i ni yn Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Teyrnon bod ein disgyblion yn rhan o’r broses cynllunio, mae’n bwysig ein bod ni’n gwrando ar eu llais.  Yn dilyn cyhoeddiad y 4 diben, gofynnwyd i’r plant a’r staff beth oedden nhw yn golygu iddyn nhw a pha brofiadau, gwybodaeth a sgiliau oedden nhw  eisiau ar hyd eu taith addysg.

It is important to us at Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Teyrnon that our pupils are part of the planning process, it is important that we listen to their voice.  Following the publication of the 4 purposes, we asked the children and staff what they meant to them and what experiences, information and skills they would like to learn.

Cynllunio ein Cwricwlwm/Designing our Curriculum

Un o’r camau cyntaf wrth gynllunio ein curriculum yw i gynnwys syniadau’r disgyblion.  Ar draws Cam Cynnydd 1 a dechrau a canol Cam Cynnydd 2, cynhelir sesiynau wythnosol gyda’r disgyblion er mwyn casglu eu syniadau (Llinellau Ymholiad) er mwyn datblygu cyfleoedd o fewn y ddarpariaeth ehangach.

Yn haen uchaf Cam Cynnydd 2 ac ar draws Cam Cynnydd 3, cynhelir sesiynau ar ddechrau pob thema i ystyried syniadau’r dysgwyr i gefnogi’r cynllunio a’r profiadau mewn perthynas ag addysgu a dysgu (proses gynllunio wedi’i thrafod).  Arddangosir y taflenni yn ffolderi ‘Cynlluniau Cyffrous’ yn y dosbarthiadau.  Y prif ffocws wrth gynllunio yw ‘Pam?’.  Rhaid i ni ystyried pam rydyn ni’n addysgu thema—beth ydyn ni eisiau i’r disgyblion ei brofi a dysgu?  Cysylltir pob ‘Pam’ gyda’r 4 diben ac yna â’r datganiadau o’r hyn sy’n bwysig.

One of the first steps when designing our curriculum is to include the pupils’ ideas.   Across progression Step 1 and in lower and middle Progression Step 2, weekly sessions are held with the learners to gather their ideas (lines of inquiry) in order to develop opportunities within the enhanced provision.

At upper Progression Step 2 and across Progression Step 3, sessions are held at the beginning of each theme to consider the learners’ ideas to support the planning and experiences in relation to teaching and learning (negotiated planning process). The sheets are displayed in the ‘Cynlluniau Cyffrous’ folders that are in the classrooms.  The main focus when planning themes is ‘Why?’.  We must consider why we are teaching a theme – what do we want the children to experience and learn.  All ‘Why’s’ are linked to the 4 purposes and to the What Matter statements.
